The black and white chessboard, made and finished by hand in France.
Twenty-eight centimetres a side, one centimetre thick, and the letters and numbers around the edge: a1, e4, h8. Enough to follow an annotated game, replay an opening or learn the coordinates without thinking about it — ideal for beginners, pleasant when you already play.
The black and white are tinted through the material, not painted. Nothing chips, nothing yellows in the sun, nothing warps near a radiator. A dry microfibre cloth is enough.
A format designed for real life: it sits on a coffee table without taking up space, and stores upright in a bookcase. The squares are 32 mm, against 50 to 57 mm on a club board.
It accepts all our universes of pieces, and any set of the same format. Start with the board, add the figurines when you feel like it.
Decorative and collectible object, intended for collectors aged 14 and over.
