Two camps that shouldn't share the same table. On one side the archangel and his seraphim, on the other the fallen lord and his court. It's the only collection where the two halves of the set are not the same sculpture in two colours.

What the pack contains

The board and the 32 pieces, ready to play. Sold separately, the board and the set come to €104 — the pack saves you €15.

Two camps, two sculptures

Feathered wings against membranous wings, smooth drapery against scales. It's the universe that reads best from a distance: you can see who is gaining ground without having to get close to the board.

Finishes

Black & White — the contrast is already in the subject, it becomes head-on.
Aged Gold & Silver — gold for the celestials, patinated silver for the infernals.

The finish applies to the pieces: the board is black and white in both cases. The felt under the bases is available as an option.

No two sets are ever identical

The paint is applied by hand, piece by piece. Your set won't look exactly like the photos — it will look like itself.

Our squares are 32 mm while the tournament standard is 50-57 mm. This is an object designed for a coffee table or a shelf, not for a club. The board is only one centimetre thick.

Size, and why it is compact

Our squares are 32 mm while the tournament standard is 50-57 mm. This is an object made for a coffee table or a shelf, not for a club — we'd rather say so before you order.

The board measures 28.2 × 28.2 × 8 cm. If you buy the pieces alone, measure one square of your board: it's the only real constraint.

Care

Dry microfibre cloth, nothing else. No water, no alcohol, no solvent: they attack the paint.

Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and the proximity of a radiator. Place the board on a flat, stable surface.

Returns and warranties

You have 14 days after receipt to change your mind, without having to justify yourself. Let us know, send the set back within 14 days, and we refund you within 14 days, standard shipping included. Return shipping costs are on us.

The legal guarantee of conformity (2 years from delivery) and the guarantee against hidden defects (2 years from discovery of the defect) also apply.

    Applied by hand, piece by piece. It's the longest step, and the one that makes the difference between an object and a mass-produced set.

Can I really play with it, or is it decorative?

Both. It's a complete, playable chess set, but sized for the display cabinet rather than the club: our squares are 32 mm while the tournament standard is 50-57 mm. If you are looking for a competition set, this is not the one.

Will my pieces fit my board?

Our pieces are sized for 32 mm squares. Measure a square on your board before ordering pieces only: it's the only real constraint.

How long before I receive my order?

Every set is made to order, with no stock. Allow 3 to 5 working days in the workshop, then 2 to 4 days of transport. That's 5 to 9 working days in total.

What if I don't like the set?
